  Skye   Charlette
Certified Optometric Assistant

Charlette completed her Veterinary Assistant Program in 1997. She worked in the Veterinary field until joining the Mission Eye Clinic in the Winter of 2006. In the Fall of 2007 she obtained her C.C.O.A. (Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant) designation after completing the Canadian Association of Optometrists program. At our clinic, Charlette is primarily responsible for various reception and administration duties but also does patient pre-testing, visual field testing, and provides support for the dispensary edging lab and eyeglass repairs.
   
           
Laura Skye
Certified Optometric Assistant

Skye has been with the clinic since May 1999. In 1998, she completed the Dental Office Reception Program of the University College of the Fraser Valley. And in the Fall of 2000 she obtained her certification as an Optometric Assistant after completing the Canadian Association of Optometrists program. At the Mission Eye Clinic, Skye is primarily responsible for various reception and administration duties but also does patient pre-testing, visual field testing, and provides extensive support for the dispensary edging lab and eyeglass repairs.
 
       

Teresa
Certified Optometric Assistant

Prior to joining the Mission Eye Clinic in the Fall of 2005, Teresa was in the childcare field. In the Fall of 2007 she obtained her C.C.O.A. (Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant) designation after completing the Canadian Association of Optometrists program. At our clinic, Teresa is primarily responsible for various reception and administration duties but also does patient pre-testing, and provides support for the contact lens dispensary, dispensary edging lab and eyeglass repairs.

 
     
           
  Carrie  

Carrie
Dispensing Optometric Assistant

Carrie has a background as a certified veterinary assistant. She originally joined our clinic in March of 2004 for two years and after being away from Mission she returned to re-join our clinic in the Spring of 2008. She is currently completing the Canadian Association of Optometrists program to obtain her certification as an Optometric Assistant. Carrie is experienced in choosing the best looking and most appropriate eyeglass lenses, coatings, and frames. She is readily able to solve eyeglass problems, and deal with difficult prescriptions and adjustments. Her many responsibilities also include dispensary edging, patient pre-testing, and contact lens training.

 
           
   

Jacqueline
Certified Dispensing Optometric Assistant

Jacqueline has a background as a professional hairstylist. She joined the Mission Eye Clinic in the Winter of 2006. In the Fall of 2007 she obtained her C.C.O.A. (Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant) designation after completing the Canadian Association of Optometrists program. Jacqueline is experienced in choosing the best looking and most appropriate eyeglass lenses, coatings, and frames. She is readily able to solve eyeglass problems, and deal with difficult prescriptions and adjustments. Her many responsibilities also include dispensary administration, dispensary edging, and patient pre-testing.

 
           
Sharon

Laura
Certified Dispensing Optometric Assistant

Laura's background was originally as a registered nurse. She worked as an optometric receptionist/assistant for 1.5 years before joining our clinic in Fall 2000. She received her certification as an Optometric Assistant with the Canadian Association of Optometrists in the Fall of 2002. Laura is experienced in choosing the best looking and most appropriate eyeglass lenses, coatings, and frames. She is readily able to solve eyeglass problems, and deal with difficult prescriptions and adjustments. In addition, she also has many responsibilities in our reception area and the dispensary lab.

 
     

Sharon
Dispensing Optometric Assistant

Sharon has an extensive background as an optometric assistant with over 20 years in the field. In the Spring of 2007 she joined the Mission Eye Clinic. She is currently formalizing her certification to obtain her C.C.O.A. designation from the Canadian Association of Optometrists. Sharon is experienced in choosing the best looking and most appropriate eyeglass lenses, coatings, and frames. She is readily able to solve eyeglass problems, and deal with difficult prescriptions and adjustments. In addition to patient contact lens training, she is responsible for the management of our contact lens dispensary. Her many responsibilities also include dispensary administration and patient pre-testing.
