Dr.
Darren K. Sass
Dr. Sass was raised
in Edmonton, Alberta. He moved to Vancouver in 1990 where he obtained
his Bachelor Degree in General Science from the University of British
Columbia. He then went to pursue his studies at the Southern College of
Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, where he obtained his doctorate degree
in optometry in 1998.
In Tennessee, Dr.
Sass was educated with an emphasis on ocular pathology with full therapeutic
pharmaceutical privileges. His clinical externships included a rotation
in the James H. Quillen Veteran Administration Medical Centre in Johnson
City, Tennessee. Upon his graduation, he returned to Canada in 1998 and
made Mission his home.
He is involved with
several organizations dedicated to community enhancement and enjoys living
in Mission for the fishing and hiking opportunities. Dr. Sass is dedicated
to our clinic's goal of providing comprehensive high quality eyecare to
children and adults in the community. As a developmental/behavioural optometrist,
Dr. Sass brings to our clinic a keen interest and specialization in pediatrics
and infant development, learning and behaviour difficulties, autism, acquired
brain injury, and vision training. |
