"Although its important, a proper eye examination is much more than just checking your eyeglass prescription."

"Although blurry vision is often due to a need for updated glasses, it can also be due to many other ocular and systemic causes."

"Many ocular and systemic conditions are often detected for the first time during an eye examination and frequently in patients who are symptom-free."

"Early detection will typically result in a significant improvement in the treatment and management of such conditions."

Fee Schedule/For Exams Without MSP Coverage

** Our Full Exam fee includes baseline digital retinal photographs (or review of previously taken baseline photos) and repeat photographs when required. Full Exam fee also includes photographs of the front of the eye for photodocumentation (or review of previously taken photographs for photodocumentation) and/or patient education as required.

* If you are a contact lens wearer (or wish to be assessed for suitability for contact lenses) but decline the recommended contact lens evaluation then our Full Exam fee for contact lens wearers is $115.00. Any Full Exam for a contact lens wearer requires some degree of specialized knowledge and assessment (including a contact lens history and general contact lens related recommendations). The effects of contact lenses can also affect the findings and recommendations of a Full Exam. Even if you do not wear your contact lens at your Full Exam a nominal fee is charged for these additional services.

*** The measurement of the PD (or pupillary distance) to a level of accuracy required for a spectacle prescription is not done as a procedure during a full eye exam. It is most appropriately and almost always measured at the time of dispensing of eyeglasses by your professional dispenser. The fee for the measurement of your PD is typically included in the price of eyeglasses. As such, we do not recommend having this measurement done for most patients especially for children who are still growing. If you wish to have your PD measured at a later date after your full exam then we can provide this measurement for a nominal $20.00 fee.

If you cannot keep your appointment we would appreciate at least 24-48 hours notice. We do charge a $30.00 fee for missed appointments & last minute cancellations.

Please note that although we strive to maintain this fee schedule as current as possible, we reserve the ability to change the fees at anytime to reflect the cost of providing the required services. Please contact our clinic for the most up-to-date information.
